Mark L. De Santis, MS, PsyD is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University where he obtained Master’s degrees in both Counseling and Clinical Psychology. Dr. De Santis has a doctorate from the same institution in Clinical Psychology, with specialties in neuropsychology and behavioral medicine in both adult and pediatric populations. He completed his internship in the aforementioned specialties at the University of Miami/ Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Dr. De Santis is published in several professional journals including a chapter in a reference book entitled “Whole Person Healthcare”. He has presented at national conferences such as the American Psychological Association, the National Academy of Neuropsychology and the DOD/VA annual conference. Dr. De Santis has been a faculty member and director at several universities. He presently holds an appointment as an Assistant Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina in the department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He has been, and currently is, the chair of various clinical planning and regional steering committees. He also held the position as the director of clinical services inclusive of neuropsychology, behavioral medicine and biofeedback at the Biscayne Institutes of Health and Living located in Miami, Florida. Dr. De Santis currently holds the position of Suicide Prevention Coordinator at the Ralph H. Johnson Veterans Administration hospital located in Charleston, South Carolina and is the Lead Suicide Prevention Coordinator for one of the Veterans Integrative Service Network which includes the states of Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina.
